Promises, promises…I know I have not been blogging like I said I would. But I know you all understand that it is a busy time of year, not just for my business, but my personal life too. Kids back in school means more running around, helping with homework, etc. You know all about it I’m sure. I will be returning to my regular magazine spread posts soon (because I love them so!), but for how here is a little peek at all the fun sessions I have been working on.

Farewell to summer

Well, it happened. I’ve fallen really behind on blogging! The end of summer snuck up on me and I wanted to enjoy every last minute because it was one of the best summers I’ve had in awhile. By the second week of August I’m usually done with the heat and ready for my bored kids to have a routine and be back in school. But this year I don’t really remember my kids whining that they were bored. Yes, they bickered and whined about things other than being bored, but they also played together a lot more than years past which really surprised me. We traveled a lot, had fun trips to blueberry fields, picnics with friends, and even a dance party. I had wonderful photo sessions in between and actually felt like I had a good balance between work and home life for once. I wasn’t ready for it all to end just yet, but now that it has I look forward to fall and all the wonderful holidays and celebrations that come with it. I have some totally awesome sessions to share soon, but for now I want to say thank you summer 2011! You were amazing!

My tropical adventures

I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have traveled a lot in the past 4-5 years. Several of the places I’ve visited have been tropical because they always offer a truly relaxing getaway. This year my husband chose Belize and it was wonderful! Full of delicious food, warm, generous and friendly people, refreshing breezes, beautiful scenery and lots of new experiences. We swam with small sharks and sting rays, I went fishing for the first time and caught 4 fish (which we ate for dinner & lunch), we zip lined and went tubing down a river that went through ancient caves! I can’t say that it is my favorite tropical destination (I think Hawaii will always have my heart) but I definitely recommend it. It is a gorgeous and fun country that I only got to see a small part of. I hope these images convey some of that. Enjoy!
